Our Sunday services are held at the Woodchurch Community Centre
Lower Road, Woodchurch Nr. Ashford, Kent, TN26 3SQ
We're really pleased you are considering visiting one of our Sunday services. Please check out the information below so you know what to expect. We'd love to see you so please be aware there are some Sundays when we have an evening service instead of a morning service!
In light of the government’s advice, and also guidance from FIEC on the Coronavirus outbreak, we have decided to cancel all our public gatherings for the coming weeks to help lesson the impact on the most vulnerable.
We will be providing resources to enable us to worship and connect together online during this time as we each turn our homes into mini churches.
Please read our full update about our plans here.
And please subscribe to our email contact list (if you are not yet on it) so we can get these resources to you ready for Sunday. Subscribe here.
When you arrive at one of our Sunday services at the Woodchurch Community Centre
you will be warmly welcomed and we have a bit of time before the service starts for a coffee, tea, nibbles and a chat.
'Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!'
We believe the Bible is the very word of God, so at the centre of our Sunday Service we open God's book, and spend time listening to what God has to say about himself, us, and his world. If you don't own a bible, feel free to take one from the Sunday service as our gift to you.
'Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path'
Babies & Toddlers Room
We have a baby/toddler friendly space for parents to go with their little ones. This room has an audio link to the main hall so you don't have to miss out on hearing the message.
'Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above'
Just before the sermon (bible teaching) at the Sunday service the children leave to attend 'Adventurers' which is for children of primary school age. At Adventurers the children spend time studying the bible (Using materials from TNT Ministries), making craft and playing games. After the sermon the children return back to the main hall so we can all be together for our songs at the end of the service.
'Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven'
We love to sing to God and to encourage each other. We aim to have a real mix of old and new hymns and songs. We normally have one or two songs to open the service and three or four at the end.
'be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart'
We love to hear people's stories of what Jesus has done in their lives. Sometimes during our services we give people the opportunity to share how they became a Christian or share something that Jesus has done recently in their lives.
'I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord.'
Praying is talking to God. The bible says God loves to hear us talk to him and he desires to have a relationship with us. We have times in the Sunday service where the members lead the congregation in prayer.
'I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people'
1 Timothy 2:1
We celebrate communion once a month during the morning service. We take communion during our time of worship at the end of the service. If you are a Christian feel free to go and receive communion during this time of singing.
''And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.'
After the service there is time to chat, pray and enjoy fellowship together. We have tea and coffee available again.
'Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God'
1 John 4:7

'And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works'
Jesus gave himself for the church and when Jesus changes our hearts we will want to give to the local church too. We do not pass a plate or bag during the service but you can support the work of Outpost Church by either giving online using our BT MyDonate page or by using our giving box at one of our Sunday services.
'Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver'
2 Corinthians 9:7
Love God, Love People
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as yourself.”
